Meet J. K. Grueber

The influence of rural living radiates throughout J. K. Grueber’s novels, as she was born and raised in a small town in Western Pennsylvania. Even though she lived within spitting distance of Pittsburgh, most of her escapades involved farm country and horses—a lifestyle she continues to embrace. Presently, she and her husband, Steve, live on a small horse farm in Northeast Ohio, where she tends to twenty-plus Quarter Horses and Thoroughbreds along with two Great Pyrenees, a dozen ducks, two dwarf goats, and a plethora of cats.
Although she has been writing for several years, she’s only begun publishing her novels in the past two years and hopes to share many new adventures in the coming months.
Currently, she divides her time between writing paranormal mysteries (with a heavy dose of suspense), breeding, training, and racing Thoroughbreds (which has shaped the twists and turns in The MacDade Brothers Mysteries), and visiting the occasional haunted domicile. Whether a graveyard, hotel, castle, landmark, or ancient house (one of which she owns), she enjoys treading that fine line between fact and fiction and enjoys taking others along for the ride.
“May all of your mysteries have happy endings!”
J. K. Grueber
